Brief

To introduce Wekiwi, a new energy company, to the national market.

Challenge

To design a memorable and relevant brand experience that would serve to introduce a new energy company in a context marked by saturation and homogeneity. .

Solución

It is clear that the electricity and gas bill has been one of the things that has most worried, tormented and disturbed Spanish households in recent years. And Wekiwi arrives in Spain with the aim of changing that paradigm and, literally, ‘turning the energy upside down’. So in the conceptualisation phase it was clear: we were going to take the brand promise one step further, inviting Spaniards to turn ALL their energy upside down.
Taking advantage of the growing wave of spirituality, we borrowed the codes of this imaginary to create ‘Wekiwi El Adivino’, a very particular fortune teller inspired by the Zoltar of ‘Big’ who would stand in Madrid's Plaza de Chueca to turn upside down ALL the energies of passers-by.
For one afternoon, Wekiwi The Fortune Teller took over the centre of Madrid and answered the questions of those who approached his booth, both those related to their lives and those related to their electricity and gas bills. A fun and fresh street marketing action, far from the usual codes of energy companies, which generated repercussions on social media and generated a brand memory very difficult to forget!
